Careti v0.4.7 adds Z.AI GLM-4.7 model, Claude Code compatible command system, SmartEditEngine improvements, and UI enhancements.

Careti v0.4.7 has been released. This version adds new models, a command system, and UI improvements.

1. Z.AI GLM-4.7 Support

We added Z.AI's GLM-4.7 model, offering good performance at a reasonable cost.

It's useful for coding tasks without budget concerns or experimenting with side projects. Existing Z.AI users can connect directly through Careti.

2. Claude Code Compatible Command System

We added a command system compatible with Claude Code.

Create command files in the .agents/commands/ folder to use slash commands like /init and /commit. If you've been using Claude Code, you can use the same workflow in Careti. Switch between tools or use both without migration costs.

3. SmartEditEngine Improvements

We improved SmartEditEngine, which finds the correct location for code modifications.

It now uses 9-stage fuzzy matching and 6-stage fallback systems. When AI-generated SEARCH blocks have slightly different whitespace or indentation, it automatically corrects them to improve edit success rates.

The effect is especially noticeable with lower-performance models. In testing, Gemini Flash Lite improved from 70%→100%, and Solar Mini from 63%→100%. Without retries, completion time is roughly cut in half.

4. UI Improvements

  • GFM Markdown Support: Tables in AI responses are displayed in a structured format. While Cline shows raw text, Careti presents comparison tables and option lists clearly. (Documentation)
  • TypewriterText: Added shimmer animation for streaming text.
  • ThinkingRow: New UI for displaying reasoning/thinking mode.
  • ToolGroupRenderer: Groups tool operations together.
  • Background Edits: Support for file editing in the background.
  • Explain Changes: Added a tool that explains code changes.

5. Other Changes

  • Web Search: Added web search via SerpAPI integration.
  • Rebranding: Completed the Caret → Careti brand transition.

Closing

In v0.4.7, we expanded model options and added compatibility for Claude Code users.
