Hello! The v0.4.5 update brings support for trending models like the cost-effective GLM-4.7 and document-parsing Solar, new tools that let text models read images and various documents including HWP/DOC/PPT, Skills & Hooks support, and updates to Caret's unique context management approach. We're also expanding language support to 7 languages for sovereign AI provider countries.

✨ Key Updates

🧠 Full Z.AI GLM-4.7 Support

You can now use the cost-effective GLM-4.7 model you purchased during the Christmas sale in Caret. It supports Thinking mode and delivers excellent performance. Simply register your purchased Key with the Z.ai provider. The advantage over text CLIs like OpenCode is that you can use the image and document tools below—essentially giving it eyes.

🇰🇷 Upstage Solar Provider Added & 7-Language Expansion for Sovereign AI

  • Official support for Upstage's Solar models, Korea's representative AI famous for document parsing. It boasts incredibly fast speeds, and we've done additional tuning to handle that speed.
  • Adding 3 more languages (French, German, Russian) from countries with sovereign AI to the existing 4 languages (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, English). When selecting one of the 7 languages, you can prioritize each country's model providers.

📄 Enhanced Document Tools Including Korea's Unique HWP, Plus DOCX and PPT

Finally, support for various document formats including HWP files. RFP analysis for government and public sector projects becomes much easier, and if you ask for markdown conversion, it happens instantly.

🛠️ Context Management Structure for Optimized AI-User Collaboration & Skills & Hooks System

  • Context Mirroring: AI context is token-optimized and managed in .agents/, while user context is mirrored in the user's language in the .users/ directory.
  • Skills: Define custom tools specialized for each project.
  • Hooks: Automate specific actions before/after (Pre/Post) tool execution to maximize productivity.
  • AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md: Synchronize standard AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md for parallel use with Claude Code.

New tools have been added for text-only models without vision capabilities like GLM-4.7. You must be logged into your Caret account to use this feature.

  • Image Generation: Generate images through Nano Banana.
  • Image Analysis: Call Gemini as a tool to analyze and understand images.
